I think them epiq boxes are 30" deep and the 722 is 25. The difference would be in the extra deep drawers and the extra 2 drawers. I believe you on the trade in but if he goes to sell it he will want 7500 for it and it will sit for sale forever because you can get the same deal for a brand new one from Snap on.
Yeah, they are, but the extra deep drawers (I forgot to mention) doesn't functionally make for twice as much actual tool storage. Deeper/taller drawers are a bigger upgrade for the manufacturer/sales channel than they are for the consumer. The SO guy was able to get the guy to owe him five grand more by giving a good 'trade in' value for the box. Quite the hustle.

Very true. I told my dealer yesterday no way was I spending that kind of coin on a box. He tried to convince me that's its a brand new in the crate box and ONLY 6400 out the door.

I guess I'm naive, but I don't really understand $10,000 tool boxes. I used a Kennedy for years as a tool maker, then switched to an HF for the ball bearing drawers. It works fine, despite that I have hundreds of pounds of tool steel stored in it. It rolls well and functions as it ought to. I do have a wooden Gerstner box, which now sells for about $800, and quite frankly, it is of limited usefulness. It's more of an ego thing for tool makers. What makes a tool box worth 10 G's?

Hi you guys. I am new here. And I am building the toolbox of tomorrow. I am starting with customized toolboxes but soon will have them fully manufactured here.

The Extreme Workstation Toolbox - EWT-Digital

Car Workshops can no longer thrive with old strategies in today’s multi-dimensional industry cycle. There are five strategic factors to consider:

1. Re-think the workshop model
2. Drive tighter connections between your workshop and the digital world.
3. Elevate the in-workshop experience
4. Reboot the diagnostic process
5. Challenge traditional organizational structure

Did you phosfluorescently leverage other's bleeding-edge quality vectors to professionally formulate sustainable metrics?

Listas are beautiful. I'm going to pull the trigger on a 2 bay myself. Here's a triple....

The other is a matco. I think it's a 5s since the ad says it has upgraded casters. My 6s is 28" deep. Not sure about the 5s.

Some people sell with reasonable or slightly good deals, then others think that because they paid 15k 10 years ago that it is now worth 20k.

I talked to the owner of the krl setup in Cleveland. I'm going this evening to look at it. If its as clean as he says I will have a top box and locker for sale. Not sure what their worth but money talks.

I thought if.I could get a grand for the locker and 4-600 for the top I'd be happy. I'm afraid I'm going to like.it to much and not want to sell it

I don't have enough experience to offer an educated guess.
Because it's a mis-matched set and he says he'll split it up, I would start
with an offer of 2k for just the roller and small side cabinet. That's what you're
really after, right?
Work your way up when he counters and then offer to take the whole set.
IMHO not more than 3000 for all of it.
I think I've seen that ad for months on CL.

He said he's had a cash offer from his dealer of 3700 for everything. He did have a matching bottom to the top til his employee put a forklift through it. I'm seeing the 1001 with side lockers going for 2500-3000. Cabinets worth a grand and I think that top is worth 5-700 guessing. I think if I can get it for 3700 it'd be a good buy.

If the dealer is really offering $3700 without it being a trade on a new purchase then that's probably a good price.

Paint the locker blue to match and sell the top box. (Stupid orange trim )Then keep an eye out for a deal on a hutch.
