I was browsing the local C-list tonight and saw the following cabinet that perked my interest. Kind of different looking than most. The little boxes down below gave me inspiration for possible a fastener area.

No dimensions given. Will have to call tomorrow.

Thoughts/comments?

Of course, a paint job will be in order.

I hope to get some verbal dimensions when I call tomorrow. I found the ad too late tonight to place a call. I think those are 24" cabinets. So the unit is probably 48" total width. With 4 bays wide, I would assume each bay is 12" wide minus the width of the wood frames. So probably 11" wide inside dimensions. Another pure guess but assuming all that is right, I'd say height of the cubbies is about 4".

Not quite sure where to find containers that would slide inside the cubbies. Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, as far as price...they are asking $45, which I think is a bit steep for a single unit. I plan on getting as close to $30 as possible.

Go for it . . . . likely couldn't build it for that.

Also could supply electrical to a couple cubbies and have chargers in there with your drill drivers.

I use those dollar store clear plastic shoe boxes for all kinds of storage. I just picked up a pack of 12, at Menards, for 10 bucks. Can't beat the price..

Talked to the guy. He is firm on $45. Any less and he will use for his own garage. :(

Dimensions are 48"w x 42"t x 12"d. There is one fixed and one adjustable shelf behind the doors, which is what I expected. The cubbies measure 12"w x 6"t.

No table saw but I like the idea of making some drawers so everything is contained.
