Believe it or not one of my most usefull tools I carry is my smartphone. I got a really good case for it and a great camera that I use for alot of things. Not to mention the calculator and timer. I also rock a teralux pocket light and what ever tools I forget to take out of my pockets.

A couple of tools I always carried at work, were a voltage detector, a magnetic pickup/screw starter. I did appliance service for 20 years and most jobs carried a 1/4 and 5/16 nut driver, philips screwdriver and a pair of needle nose. That would fix or at least get into 80-90 percent of appliances to diagnose.

I carry a leather man original and a little led flash light. Had a gerber but the "stainless" kept rusting.

Always a pocket knife and a pair of 5" vise grips in the back pocket.

At one time I carried a real nice mini Sears Craftsman keychain folding multi tool. Maybe ten years ago. Made in USA, was a nice plier/Phillips/flat head combo that folded up and locked onto any old key ring. I THOUGHT it was the perfect multi tool until the little dimples that held it closed wore out, then it was like carrying a pair of pliers and I said enough of this. So much for warranty too because it was discontinued and I know exactly why. I may have tossed it in a drawer somewhere after that.

Small Flashlight and multi-tool or small flashlight, EDC knife 3-4" blade and a pocket screwdriver. Between those 3 tools, you can tackle almost anything! The pocket screwdriver is especially lightweight and useful. Opening boxes, prying small parts, scraping small things, picking stuff, making scribe marks, cleaning your finger nails, the list goes on and on!

Case trapper pocket knife every day all day. At work 8" cresent at all times, a 4" cresent on key chain along with a P-51, 6" rigid pipe wrench, sometimes Channel lock 426s or some slip joint pliers. I work as a gas plant operator and use these mainly to remove small pipe plugs in valves to do stuff like drain off water or add lube oil or bleed air out of a system.

First day of work an older operator handed me a small cresent and more or less said don't let me catch you with out one of these lol. we also have other tools placed in hiding spots throughout the plant like bigger pipe wrenches (18" and 24"), cresents, and hammers.

I hate multi-tools of the common types...they make a clumsy and inconvenient knife, have cast plier jaws that are basically fat needlenoses that are not good for gripping most fasteners, and some less used stuff that is also pretty clumsy. I use a German army pocketknife that has a decent selection of tools, a Springfield 1903 combination tool that is basically a nice range of screwdrivers that fold into the size of a nail clipper, and a couple of random nails and paper clips that are endlessly useful for improvised poking and stabbing.
There's a fierce little single AAA Maratac light and on my key ring nail clippers, a P-38, and a sliver gripper.
Good quality ignition pliers slide right in, real forged tiny pliers capable of gripping up to 9/16 and handling any amount of torque my hand can deliver on them. Beyond that, I think for an real wrenching you are getting beyond decent pocket stashing.
I have 4" adjustables that I don't carry, they have same range as the ignition pliers and less versatility, and anything above that range really should be in a tool box with a lot more.

Does anyone that carries adjustable wrenches think the idea of the Kobalt adjustable with the 12 point box wrench stamped into the hanging hole is worth trying them? Just wondering if that feature is of use in a pocket carry adjustable?

I have found a knipex plier wrench fits nicely in my jean lower leg pocket. I have not made a real habit out of carrying thou.

I carry a schrade multi tool I have had for over 10 years. Will do most stuff in a pinch at work. My work however is not real demanding tool wise. I keep a 10 dollar autozone socket set in a desk drawer.
