Hey everyone. i have been buying stuff off the classifieds on here for some time, and have never had a problem. i bought a snap on air drill and craftsman impact driver from him, and have not received it, he was kind and transaction went smoothly. he has not logged on in a couple weeks, and i am worried that i either got scammed or something has happened to him. i have sent him numerous PM's and i emailed him the other day too.

does anyone have any ideas? i probably paid him with the "gift" so i think im screwed. any insight guys??

From past experience, he is a stand up guy and active member here. That being said, if he hasn't logged in in a while, I hope everything is OK with him.

Ive Never had a issue with him either.. Sometimes Life happens. If I was faced with this scenario i would stay within my Paypal Time Frame for Disputes and Open a Dispute and if the Package arrives etc.. Just cancel it.

I bought a set of sockets from him and all went fine. No problem.

If he hasn't been online in a couple weeks, I'd say something isn't right. I wouldn't 'think' that he would leave anyone hanging under normal circumstances.

I know this is kind-of frowned upon on here, with good reason BUT, maybe try and find him on the other forums as well. Like GG (garage.gazette) and see if he's been active on there. I'm pretty sure I've contacted him before and he seems like a pretty good guy and I'm pretty sure I saw many positive responses from other forum users about good transactions. Due to that, I don't think you got scammed/shafted. I am, however, concerned about him. Hopefully as is well with him and his family.

+1. I wouldn't think as a business owner that he'd put his reputation at stake over a handfull of tools. I remember telling him how the economy was slow here and he said business was good in his shop over in TX. Hope he is ok and everything works out for everyone involved.

Give it some time, a lot of people have done business with him and he has been a stand up guy every time and he has been around for a good while. Things happen in our lives and issues need to be dealt with that are beyond our control. What i am saying is give the guy some time before getting out the rope. He will pop up.

I had one transaction with him a month or two ago. IMO he was very slow to ship. I was not in a rush to get it but if he had at least gave me a heads up that would have been nice.

However he did not ask for me to pay by Personal/gift (I wouldn't have if he asked me to). I sent payment as Goods & he used PP shipping so I received a shipping confirmation with DC number.

I wasn't expecting new items of course but they weren't as good as I thought they would be judging from the pics. One of the items I received was melted which was not mentioned. My fault for not asking for better details.

Two lessons learned but he did keep his end of the deal. I also say give him sometime.

I have delt with him on several occasions and he was fine as far as time to ship, with exception to the last item I got which took a while. I PM'd him about it and he got back to me and got me the items. I also hope everything is ok.

Something must have happened, I've done 5 or 6 transactions with him, all highly rated. Real good guy. The one time he was late with something he threw in freebies that more than made up for it.

The fact he's not replying to PMs makes me think something bad is going on, he's always been great about responding to me. I hope he and the family are ok.

I am also waiting for an item, luckily it was only 12$ - that's why I sent him a gift, especially with his good selling reputation. Hope everything is ok with him.

I've bought from him about a dozen times and never had a problem. This last time though I bought numerous items for a decent amount of money and pay gift since I've done so many transactions with him. Still haven't gotten any of my items and it's been a month. I hope everything is on with him, to me this is kind of strange with him

You can still get your money back if you pay with gift, it's more of a PITA but you can file a dispute through your credit union, they will get your money back. I had to do this with another member on here that screwed me

Guys,

I have spoke with Icanfixanything several months ago and he was the proud father of new born twins. I know originally they were in the hospital a little longer then expected, and my guess would be something has happened and he is possibly in the hospital with them. Give him some time - he is a very active member and I'm sure the little thing called "life" happened. He is a stand up guy and when he makes it back he will take care of you. I hope this helps.

Ghost - If you are pretty close that would be nice. I would like to know how he is doing. I hope his twins are doing okay. Keep us posted.

If it was Pirate then by now we would have his full contact info and at least 2 members would have stopped off at his house and or workplace to see whats up.:bounce:
