I need to rent a platform scissors jack at the rental center for 24 hours. Its for placing the last 7 rows of siding on a house,25 ft across roughly. I will need to go up and down about
20 times to finish the project. Its about 110 a day to rent.
This is electric...has anyone used one of these??? Most are made by Genie...
Are they easy to go up and down and are they stable.??I will be up at 22 ft..

I actually service them. Probably renting a gs2632 if it's a Genie. Easy to go up and down, yes. Will you be on level ground? and it better be concrete. These things are heavy, don't like being off road so to speak, and the level sensors can be finicky. What else do you want to know?

Most rental places have tow behind lifts like this. Way better than a scissor lift for outdoor work.uploadfromtaptalk1438568123925.jpg

I've rented both a scissor lift and a tow-behind cherry picker. I used the scissor lift to assemble the purlins and roofing on my metal shop building. The slab had already been poured, so I used it on the concrete. Frankly, I can't see how it would work that well off-road. There is little ground clearance and the tires aren't that large.

I've used the tow-behind cherry picker for external work like your siding. This machine is definitely the way to go if you are not on pavement.
