Yes and no. If you are simply adapting down from say 3/8" to 1/4", yes you will get some deflection from the length of the adapter, but it will be negligible, and you may not know, but some torque wrench calibrations get them within 10% i believe, so it's certainly going to cover that.

shorter adapters won't. longer ones will change but rarely enough to worry about.
