I have a 24x24x14 with lap siding and boxed eaves, on the walls i used 1” polypro eps and taped them between the legs leaving an inch between siding and board, im
thinking about pushing them all the way in up against the lap siding i was thinking the lap siding would have enough air so it wouldnt rot or is that a bad idea?
I also put 2 layers of 1” up against purlins thinking the roofing ribs and boxed eaves would allow adequate air flow shpuld a do
it differently?

An air gap behind the siding does a lot to facilitate drying in the event that any water gets behind. For this to work though, air has to have an entrance down low and an exit up high though. If you don't have that and can't add it, then the gap won't be as useful

the way it is now its fully open top to bottom between eps and siding but if i push it against siding it will not be open at top and rely on the air going sideways through siding laps from opening on each corner
