Using Foam for drawer Liners

I have an idea about using HD foam for liners. I can have it cut from a foam supplier 3/8" thick x 24" x 80" for 12 bucks
It has some tackiness to it so the tools wont slide, only problem is it will show dirt because of the color.

Maybe worth a try, it's cheep enough compared to what is available
