I bought a clone elm327 adapter on amazon for $12 shipped and the torque app was $5-6 or so. I would recommend reading the reviews to make sure the adapter works with j1850 PWM, the one I bought doesn't and I can't use it on older fords, that is a common issue with the clone adapters. I found a few that allegedly work for around $25 and will probably buy one soon to see.
