When I worked for the military tracked vehicle manufacturer the government was upset with 18 months from inception to prototype and 12 months from prototype to initial production. And that was for a whole vehicle like a Bradley or a Hercules retriever.
The ratchet developers need a serious kick in the ****.

What's even weirder is the top ratchet appears to be exactly the same as the Premium ratchet for which tooling and production were already set up several years ago. Did they trash everything and have to do it from scratch again? :confused:
