Everything I try and reply to a particular post using quote it tells me that I need to use at least 4 characters. I've got a lot more that 4 characters and it keeps saying this and not post my reply. What am I doing wrong? BCD.

Are you replying within the quote?

^ That would do it.

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 4 characters.

Like they said, you need to do it outside the quoted area.

I guess I need to type out side the square brackets?

Yes, it's easy. When you hit the "quote" button it opens a new window with the quoted message in brackets. Simply click anywhere in the window (below the brackets) and type your new message UNDER the quoted one... That's all there is to it. :)

And as long as you reply with 4 characters somewhere outside of the quote, you can do what you like inside the quote too!.

And don't forget to edit within the Quote to remove whatever verbiage you are not responding to. nothing worse that quoting 8 pictures and then saying "neat " in your response.

lg
no neat sig line
