Using Single Zone head for two areas

800 sq foot garage, 8 ft walls, bare concrete floors, insulated walls, attic, insulated rollups.

Located in Oregon , portland

the two areas would be 300 & 500 sq ft

Trying to use a single wall mounted unit to heat two rooms.

Wondering if a wall mount head unit could be built in an enclosure that would have a flap valve to proportion the air to either or both rooms.

would a 24k btu system be the right size?

Hvac questions without location are tough to answer.

In much of the country, 24k for 800 insulated sq ft would be gross overkill
