Hi. I need some help here. Every time I try to search for something here, it always brings up todays most recent posts, not posts pertaining to what I am searching for. I am a member on Jalopy Journal and the Ford barn, and don't have this problem doing a search on those forums. Thanks in advance. Clete

Search feature is worthless, just use Google and add Garage Journal to what you want to search.

the search function doesn't see anything with fewer than 4 characters. that might be your problem. use the "advanced" search feature.
it doesn't work exactly like every other forum.

+1 to just use Google to drill deep into GJ for specifics.

EXAMPLE - - - - - - Wilton bullet vise

> > > > > GOOGLE > > > > Wilton bullet vise site:garagejournal.com

This little example generated . . . . 42 pages . . . . of hits in Google . .
. . . . . just for GarageJournal and Wilton bullet vise !!!! :D . . ;) . . :D

That should give you PLENTY OF READING !!

Best use of GJ Advanced Search is putting in Username that you think made the post, along with key words that are 4 characters or more.

For your own posts, put in words you remember posting, along with your Username, and most times it zero's right in on your old post.
