Wow. That is an exceptional find, Barry, and a specimen with some interesting historical significance (dating almost surely to 1964-1967). You are to be applauded for wanting to save that label - which I would love to see a close-up of. Does it have a location on it? I am curious to see if it says Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Very KEWL. It's definitely a machinist's box. I have a standard box with single removable tray labeled J.C. Penney that looks just like it, handle and all. I think I bought it new back in the 1970s or so.
