Utica no. 86 Pliers Application?

Picked these up on Sunday at the flea market. I find it hard to pass up Utica pliers. I really not sure what the application is, looked on AA but they may be to modern for them, I'm guessing 70s 80s?

The model 86 is normally a flat nose plier. That set was modified for a specific purpose.
It may have been a custom order from Utica, or it could have been done by the customer.
We may never know the actual use.

Thanks Jakemac, I would bet it was custom order Utica was a somewhat local company at one time and the market was outside of Binghamton NY which used to have a lot of industry. Although Scranton PA is close as well and that was also a large industrial center at one time as well.

Sam, I agree 100%. Nowadays when a good Utica plier is cheap it is hard for me to pass it up too.

They see to have made some pliers that couldn't be found elsewhere.

What do you guys think this one is for? Removing tiny electrical components? Very unusual hole in the point with curved serrated jaw area on each side and the rest is smooth.

A Bonney catalog I have (a conglomerate with Utica at one time) has a page where it states you could contact them for a specialty tool to be made. Your most economical option would be to choose from the styles they already had, but, they had a fabrication shop to make special request tools.
