I picked these up for free, anybody know any thing about them?
I didnt find them on the alloy artifacts website.

Except some some light corrosion that I cleaned off, I doubt they were used much -teeth arent marred up.

I know I've seen Utica before, but I can't put my finger on it. I've seen all kinds of old unknown brands when it comes to pliers. Anyway, really cool pliers you got there. I've never seen a pair that are curved like that.

Utica and Diamond Horseshoe were well known brands (I have several Utica torque wrenches) that were bought up and eventually put out of business. Utica was acquired by Kelsey Hayes and later acquired Herbrand, then the Bonney tools Co. and then KH sold the whole thing to the Triangle Group (which is who made my Utica Torque wrenches) and then Triangle was sold to Cooper, and here we are.

Those were called Pistol-Grip slip-joint pliers and they date from ~1950 as this ad from 1951 shows!

Their chief benefit was that they permitted the user to exert greater force than the traditional handles.
