I'm looking for a faucet for my utility sink that's going in my new shop. It'll be a sink mounted faucet. I'd like to have a tall neck, that has a threaded end so I can attach a water hose to it.

Anyone have a good one that they like? I can't break the bank on it, but would like a good versatile faucet.

Laundry faucets often have a hose bib on them. If I really was going to use it regular might add another valve but the laundry are made for the sink. I really like a kitchen faucet better but need to mod the holes as they are not the same.

I would do a utility sink like sberry and then a separate connection to hook up the hose.

my utility sink has a long neck and sprayer nozzle and love it. here is what i have, can drop in a 5 gallon bucket and fill it up no issues. love my sink... use the hell out of it. put mine in a 36" base kitchen cabinet, with a simple countertop. cut hole drop in.

hooking a hose to your sink may end up ripping off the faucet. yeah we done a million times in the store / shop. hook up the hose and someone trip over it or ****** it.

I would plumb in a separate hose bib next to the sink, like one for washing machines the get whatever faucet you want for the sink. It would be sturdier.

^ ^ ^ This. Also gives you option to connect directly to HOT water for stuff like power washer, etc.

I have my garage utility sink set up like that delta but had to get a faucet to hose adapter at HD. I keep a 50' collapsable hose in a bucket under the sink. Nice and compact. Really nice being able to rinse the vehicles off with warm water in the winter.

I have this one from Amazon back in 2010 and it is still working fine. One of the things I liked about it is the oversized 'wristblade' handles.
Currently sells for $56 - it is going to be hard to do much better unless you want to spend a lot more

It's nice to be able to get hot water for the hose - but you need to be careful you don't pull on the hose too hard

I put a kitchen faucet on my laundry tub in the laundry room completewiththe sprayer. Love it. Just had to take a hole saw and drill another hole. I would vote for a seperate hose hook up.

This Delta, which when it comes time, you can find repair parts for anywhere. It's a brass mechanism. Mine is 20+ years old and I did have to put in new seals and springs two years ago, which were easily found at Home Depot.

I have a similar one and the neck is flimsy enough to warrant concern with a hose hanging off of it. The neck is a good length for my utility basin in the garage and I havent actually hooked a hose to it yet but I would likely look for something a little sturdier if I were to shop again. With that said, I havent had a single problem with it yet. I think I only paid ~$25 on Amazon :eyecrazy:

Ive got a hose reel right beside of my utility sink in my garage. No worries of yanking the thing off the sink since the hose comes off the reel. Works great!

The faucet has great flow also, doesnt restrict flow like faucets in the house. If you open both valves its hard to wash your hands, water goes everywhere.

This is what I did in my shop, I have a braided washing machine hose with a spray nozzle hooked up on the hot side for rinsing parts in the sink.

Just use a couple bronze sweat by threaded tee's and add a couple boiler drains.

This is a major issue, where does one get parts for off breed brands when it comes time to repair a faucet?
A s8upply house actually has a lot of parts for commercial faucets, you can get seats and valve assemblies. Its often as cheap to buy a replacement but in commercial apps its so much easier and faster to replace a part rather than a fixture.
At home I toss out a lot of the hardware comes with it, use all plastic nuts on them and can change it right out without any tools. Most faucets with stem hookups are actually 1/2 npt and you can pipe right to them without supply tubes. This is ok provided one has enough water service as not to tank the pressure every time a guy turns it on. The tubes act as a choke.

^ These regular laundry faucets are largely junk and...

I'd like to have a tall neck, that has a threaded end so I can attach a water hose to it.

I think you'll be as disappointed as my wife and I have been with the options. We got the largest/tallest neck we could find and it still *****. (The tall necks aren't tall enough and nothing seems to reach as far as we want for a large laundry sink.)

The comments above regarding having multiple fixtures to do multiple things are spot-on. It's easy enough to split the plumbing under the sink and mount different spray heads, spigots, etc. to the top deck of your laundry sink.

We are looking at scrapping our "laundry faucet" and going to a restaurant supply to get our next one. The choices in heads and sprayers are almost infinite:

If anyone wants a conventional laundry faucet, I'll sell one cheap. :)

For just a tall faucet I used a bar faucet in my 2nd floor bathroom to be able to fill my humidifier.

My biggest gripe with the laundry faucets is cleaning out 5 gallon buckets. My sink is deep enough and the faucet is tall enough to get the bucket in position, but the neck just barely reaches over the edge of the bucket.

I'm sure once I get an commercial sink sprayer installed, life will be better, but I would prefer the neck to reach out in to the middle of the basin, regardless.

Be careful, i found out the hard way that some of these new ******* faucets are "energy efficient" I.e. I could piss the bucket full quicker. The faucet looked just like this one. Haven't gotten around to changing it out.

no issue with this in my sink, plenty of clearance. love the deep sink and the gooseneck.

^ Nice. Much better than a laundry faucet.

We also picked ours for the ability to easily put a garden hose on the end, but we confirmed what was said above - better to put in a separate spigot for the purpose.

I have a nice Mirabelle in my garage utility sink that takes a threaded adapter, so I could use my hose/hot water. Mine is a pull-down spray faucet.

Bad idea, I promise.

Stick with a single faucet with threaded spout, no pull-down hardware.

Not the one that I linked. I just installed one for a customer a couple of months ago. I hook the hose up to mine to spray out the garage in the spring and there's more than enough pressure and flow.
