Uurea impact sockets

Any of you guys have any experience with Uurea brand impact sockets, I am looking to get a few sets for the maintenance guys at work. They sell them at MSC.

Think they use to be part of Proto many years ago and now I believe they are based out of Mexico but the stuff seems to be good quality and the ratchets I have seen are the same as the pear shaped Porto's and I think you can even interchange the parts.

Urrea went into a partnership w/ Proto to produce tools in Mexico back in the 1960's. When Stanley bought Proto, that ended, but many of the tools are still very similar.

Usually good stuff from what I've seen and heard.

I have a Urrea adjustable wrench. It seems well built (for what it is), and is made of nice steel IMO.

If my old memory is still working I believe they are indeed made in Mexico and they are a very good product you will be happy with them!

probably 75% of my daily use tools are Urrea and as stated they are made in Mexico and are of excellent quality

I have seen some of their stuff and it is both cheap and decently made. I'd certainly go Mexican over Chinese if you want cheap tools. Of course, price is probably on line with toptul and craftsman.

Urrea makes good stuff. A few of the industrial supply houses in my area carry their line. They are made in Mexico and according to their website, they utilize US made steel. From their website:

“Each URREA tool is forged from special, made in USA, microalloy steel and machined with state-of-the-art equipment, tested and inspected throughout the manufacturing process to meet or exceed all ANSI, US FEDERAL and SAE specifications.”

i have a set of 1/2'' drive impact deep sockets.....works great for me!!!! bought them from msc.
