For $26, arrived today just in time for me to port a piece of cast iron with carbide burr, which would send flying sharpnel everywhere.
I had an AOsafety, generic kind shield that is sold at Lowes and HF, that cost $13, but the strap broke and became useless, plus I can never wear it properly. My nose was always hitting the shield, it was real bad.
This fits very well and very adjustable.
I know one would look somewhat dorky wearing this, but so is wearing a pirate eye patch for a week. Think about that.
I have been burned before, I was grinding something, safety glasses on, spark bounced into my eye. Goggles help much more, but protecting the face from flying metal is a good idea too.
You are supposed to wear the regular eye protection inside as well
