I was installing a new catback exhaust on my son's mini Cooper the other day and during that I had to remove and reinstall a v band clamp which wasnt a big deal but it got me thinking that there has to be a tool to make it easier than just manhandling the thing to get it back over the flanges. I'm referring to the non hinged preformed style clamps by the way. I started googling and searching here and came up totally empty so I figured I would see what everyone else is using or if there are some tricks or alternate tools people have found to make it easier? I've got a twin turbo build project coming up on my 63 C10 and even though I'll likely use the hinged style clamps I'd still like to have a tool or knowledge of an easier way to deal with the preformed style clamps so what's everyone got!?!?
