Who's used the M28 extensively in the cold? As my V28 batteries get older they seem to like the cold less and less, and they never had a reputation for being good in the cold in the first place. They simply disconnect from the chargers in the cold and then lose their charge. Plus power output noticeably suffers when it's cold. "Cold" for my area is roughly 20 degrees let's say, but most days get above freezing, and now most days get into the 40's pretty easily.

I've found my M12 stuff to be great in the cold. I don't notice a drop in power output and they hold a charge for weeks, even months off the charger.

I know with the "M" line Milwaukee made some efforts to improve cold weather performance in their Li-Ion lines. So I'm wondering if this translates to the M28 batteries?

I've got almost every V28 tool made and have very few complaints with any of them, so it's way cheaper for me to buy several M28 batteries than look for a whole new platform.

I have some M28 batteries, I have not had enough experience with them in the cold yet. I did not have as much trouble as you seem to have with the V28 batteries. We used them on towers in the winter and would get pretty decent runtime out of them. The reason that I switched to them was that my dewalt 18 volts would die the second we brought them outside.
