the subject sez it all. how are the V8 tools wrenches? not fancy ratcheting or anything like that, just standard polished chrome wrenches.

worth the price? what other brand(s) would you compare them to?

thanx.

Not a fan. If you're looking for a budget friendly, yet durable and useable set of wrenches, look at Tekton Taiwan made wrenches. Tekton also has wrenches that are made in China, as in People's Republic of but, those aren't as nice.

do you have a URL for that brand?

here is a V8 set:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0092R2LI6/?tag=atomicindus08-20

a tekton set:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NY4SLK/?tag=atomicindus08-20

and a sunex set:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000XW7XBE/?tag=atomicindus08-20

all 14 piece sets of angled open end wrenches.

i think that the tekton and the sunex are pretty equivalent. the V8 is more expensive . . . . but i have learned that is not always a good indicator of value.

I've got a set of V8 tappet wrenches. They're pretty cheesy, but they also fit on a lock nut that a Proto wrench was too thick to access. I forget if the Snap-On tappet was thin enough, but I think not.
