My sister worked for Vaco (here in Chicago) a long time ago and I was lucky enough to get "samples" for free (at least she said they were free).

They were mostly electrical/electronic tools but were very well made and felt good to the grip. I still use many of them some 35 years LATER and they still perform flawlessly!!! Too bad they had to move to "cheaper pastures".

I believe their first move was to the South before going "over seas" somewhere:
either way I seldom hear about Vaco as a brand anymore.

Yep, I used to know them of good quality. I like the rivet tool myself & am only selling because it's an extra one. I think it is well designed compared to a Mac that I just picked up used.Both ears on the handle that moves the head are broke.:wtf:

I still own an use, an 8 piece VACO nut driver set that my Grandfather gave me.....in 1969.
