I have a full SAE set (1/4" - 1 1/4") of cman raised panel combination wrenches that I'm interesting in selling sometime in the future, but I unsure of what value to put on them.

I would say they are about 95% condition, with a possible speck of rust/chip in the chrome on maybe one or two of the wrenches.

The caveat though is that they have my initials electro-penciled on the backside of the open end. How much does something like this bring down the value of them?

I don't know a good price, maybe $50 shipped. The initials don't really bring down the value as the buyer could hypothetically get them all replaced.

50 cents, maybe $1 each, the set of 12 pc 1/4 to 7/8 is $39 when not on sale.

I flat would not buy a set with initials, not even for $5. I'd rather spend the $10 to $15 that an unmarked set would go for.

That's kind of my thought about marked tools myself. If they were a relative's that would be one thing, but someone you don't know, I wouldn't want their initials on my tools.

I might just hang on to them and keep them as a duplicate set.

Personally......... won't buy tools with initials. Well do I know they have no negative impact on the product. Just me. I guess I haven't helped much though.

Engraved tools Prices are gonna be based on the Buyers Preference, It bothers some people (Me) but Others could care less. I dont agree with the 50 cent or $1 a piece claim.. Thats seems very Low for 95% of NEW condition. Its true you can pick up the 1/4 -7/8" set very cheap on sale but the bigger sizes still demand a fair price. I'd say if you could get $50 plus shipping you would be doing good. Good Luck...

Yea, if you're name is engraved - you might as well just keep them. Not worth a ton anyways. Just save 'em for spares or loaners.

I don't like marked tools but they work just as well. I bought a Snap-On 1/2 drive general service set and didn't see the small Z marking on about 5 of the peices so I decided to sell it. I wasn't very upset as I only paid 75 dollars for the set. I sold them for 225.00 on CL.
