Being a special edition seems to have zero impact in the value of a box. The newer larger box's I've had my eye on tend to be in better shape and trade for half to 1/3 or retail. I can't imagine that box being worth more than 5-600 tops. Then I also don't see a lot of value in a used hot tub so take it with a grain of salt.

for the most part a "limited edition" holds even less than normal resale value.

$200 delivered tops.

I remember those when they were brand new. The top box is a stupid little box, not a normal economizer. The bottom box seemed cheapen too. I think they sold for less then a stand alone bottom box. I'd keep the hot tub.

:+1: I looked at one of those once, big disappointment. From what I remember a HF26" stack would be a good step up.

The economizer line wasn't a bad line of boxes. They were originally made by beach and of decent quality. Some will pick on them, but really, do you need a 26" built like a KRL, no you don't. I think the biggest distracter from the economizer series was you could buy pretty much the identical box from HD back when the husky line was trying to be something worth owning.

There are some special edition toolboxes worth money. The Dale Earnhardt Sr. Snap On tool boxes are worth some money. My Matco tool dealer took one on trade and sold it for $6,500.00.It was in good shape overall, one trim piece had a small ding in it.

Those are nice boxes, I think most ended still in crate with the plans of being the owners retirement plan. My dealer had one when they were new. If I wasn't a tight budget 19 year old at the time, I more then likely would have bought it.
