The one i have says the chas parker co. USA. Opens about 6 inch and the jaws look to be about 4ish inches. I am looking to see what this thing may be worth.
all depends on condition Sir..if exvellent it is surely worth afew hundred
If nothing is broken and it works smooth that about $150 tops in my area if it's a 4 incher.
Your area determines the price as much as anything...
but i want a vise i can swivel. And maybe not as large.

Here it comes round again. Those who haven't worked enough years with a bench vise overvalue the swivel base. I've gotten great buys on great vises because they were fixed base or missing the swivel base.
The Parker is as good a vise as has been made in the USA. Use it for a few years before deciding it isn't what you want. BTW, "maybe not as large" only applies if one is making jewelry.
Bottom line - one can always sell a Parker, but finding another one isn't that easy.
Your vise, your money, your decision.
