My dad asked me to sell his Rockwell Jointer for him. I'm not that familiar with woodworking, so I'm looking for some help figuring out what I can expect to sell it for.

What I know of it is that it's a 6" Rockwell Jointer with a Westinghouse 3/4HP Motor. It has some light surface rust on the table. Anything else I should look for on it specifically to help determine its value?

Average value on craigslist and the like ~$75-150

It is a decent jointer but not one of the better ones made by delta/rockwell.

As for checking it over.....
-Nicks in the blades?
-Tables flat? Need a straight edge to check this
-All adjustments work?
-Runs smooth, no bearing noise?
-Belt's condition

Every market is going to be different and I have never seen that specific jointer for sale before. I would imagine that it was perhaps a late 70's or 80's hobbyist's model. If I had to guess I would say $100 to $150 in my local market. Similar Craftsman models sell for $75 so that gives you a bit of a premium for being Rockwell.

The best way to gauge it would be to do a search for similar bench top models on Craigslist in your area. The surface rust is no big deal.

Maybe someone here will have a better idea as to price.

Close. It's a mid 70s Model 37-600. Lightweight and aimed at the home shop market. It's nowhere near as desirable as the Model 37-220, but it's better than the Model 37-608/609 that replaced it in the late 70s.

Value $50-75 as is. Cleaned up, in good running order and with sharp knives (plug and play condition), maybe $100-125. If it had the factory stand instead of the home made stand, you might be able to get $125-150.
