Is a 10 yr old Bluepoint roller cabinet still worth $1000? This was a CL listing, for a 54" X 24" X 38"H box, ball bearing slides, in okay- could use a cleaning- condition. There seem to be a lot of newer (say, less than 5 years old) SO, Mac and Matco boxes for sale these days, asking prices $1200-2000. Yes, most are 41" boxes, but there are occasional big boxes showing up as well. Is a 10 yr old box for a grand a better deal than a new Craftsman Pro box, 36", for $500 (they're on closeout)?

Depends what you want. As the old adage goes, say it with me class "You get, what you, pay for." You want quality go with the better brand. You want the inferior pay less.

(P.s That doesn't mean you can't try to talk him down in price.)

I would go for the blue point, its a nice big box and you can get parts for it from the snap on dealer easily. A guy i work with bought a box like that used several years ago and he paid more than that.

Look for a new HF box if you are going to pay $1000.00 for that thing. It will be new and about the same size. Or as well look around at some local auto parts stores.

Is a 10 yr old Bluepoint roller cabinet still worth $1000? No way. Let me repeat BLUE POINT is not SNAP ON. The quality is not the same.
