I bought this one for my chevy 350 vortec valve springs after the parts store one was a joke

Worked pretty fast. Maybe not the greatest quality, but if you are only doing a set occasionally, the price is right and it gets the job done.

Moroso used to make one like that, and I heard it worked pretty well.

Nice, let me know how you like it after you get a chance to use it. I only got this because I bought a valve stem seal pliers from the guy and I always check the seller's other listings. Came across this and figured for the price it looked like it might come in handy. Also bought a brake pressure tester. Figured if nothing else I have a nice ashcroft 3000 PSI gauge and hose.

Did some farting around with the Schley compressor during some down time this week. Looks like it will be pretty effective. I have a head I can try it on, but I didn't have that much down time.

That thing looks really nice! I really like how the handle is separate from the compressor head. Seems like that feature would really come in handy.

I ran a top end cleaner threw the fuel rail today so will see if that helps with the oil burning issues. If it's still going through oil then I'm going to have to look into it some more and try to determine if it is the valve seals and if so I will be ordering that schley tool. Not so much because I "need" it but it will come in handy and it will by my payment and I'll have it forever!

If you end up using it snap a picture or two. I'd love to see it set up on some different vehicles.

I was using this thing last week and thought of this thread, figured I would update. Tool works fantastic. For higher pressure springs, the pulling arm is a bit too short to get a lot of leverage, but it has a 3/8 square drive in it, just add an FLL80 and its effortless. I found myself bracing the ratchet against different things (opposite valvecover on one bank and heater box on the opposite in this application) so I could install the keepers with both hands. This was on a 3.0 ford engine.

I suggest Lisle valve keeper is best one for use.It's functions is easily attached with compressor machine.Valve keeper attached with compressor machine and fix errors.

I have this one and it is real easy to use on the small overhead cam engines.Can't lose the little keepers too,this is what has happened to me using the regular valve spring compressors.Quicker than a regular valve spring compressor removal and installation wise.
