Anyone have some good reading recommendations? I'm considering picking one up to add to my arenasal and would like to learn more about how to use it. I previously had a modis, but we never used the scope function. Now I'm finding myself doing more and more drivability issues and would like to expand my capabilities

I have a solus to compliment it, that's not an issue

Also, if anyone has any reading recommendations for automotive in general Id be interested. I'm always looking to expand my knowledge

If you buy the Vantage, it will give you a path to learn. It is a powerful tool, with built in learning module. Every sensor has a "known good" example in the menu, and it shows exactly how to hook up the leads. Get a suitable low amps probe to go with it. Then start going through the sensor menu, on a car you have available, hook to all the sensors, and see the patterns on the meter. It is good to be familiar with what it looks like good, before you have to scratch your head on a bad capture. You can even build a library of known good captures to refer back to when you question if something you are looking at is valid. Most of the sensors between makes and models are quite similar, so it gets real easy to pick out a bad image.
