VCT flooring in Cold Climate

I've been reading forums about VCT on here. I was wondering if anybody from Minnesota (or cold as) that doesn't have a heated garage or heated floor installed VCT in their garage. If so has the VCT and adhesive help up due to our winters? I had the Home Depot call Armstrong and they gave the boiler disclamair statement that VCT shouldn't be installed in a garage, void warranty, flammable blah blah...If so what extra steps did you do before install? Im nervous to pull the trigger on this project because when I tried to epoxy the floor that peeled up.

My experience with VCT floorings is the moisture content in the concrete. I install school furniture and have always had problems with the contractor installing the stuff because of the moisture......apparently the moisture has to be a certain number or the glue wont dry and adhere...

Venom is correct about moisture. A flooring contractor can do a simple test. One of our schools had too much moisture and they had to put down a barrier. They shot blasted the floor and applied a sealer, then tested it and it was below the moisture threshold. Not cheap.
