I have been lurking here for a while learning about different options for flooring . I bought this place about 5 years ago and did a complete remodel on the house before i moved in . While the garage was empty i took my time and prepped the garage floor and did an epoxy coat on the floor . After 5 years the floor is peeling and chipping under mild use . Yesterday my wife and i were at Harbor freight looking around and walked into the surplus depot . I bought this VCt for .42 per squre foot . My plans are to lay it and clear it after . I need to repaint before the flooring goes down .

Hear is a picture of the tile on the floor . You can see the old epoxy job has seen better days . I will be off for a week starting friday , all garage time .

jeez - I've been considering epoxy-coat as well - where did your epoxy go? that looks trashed for light use

BTW - nice grab on the azrock - great price - what color is that?

Gray with white and black flecks . The epoxy was the cheapo stuff from the hardware store you get in the kit . I had a V8 Chevy Luv for a while and was hard on it in a spot or two , but for the most part it just wore off or flacked up while i was sweeping . Just driving the truck around with drag radials would take it up sometimes . I don't do any heavy work in the garage as there is no room . Most heavy or floor jack work will be outside in the driveway .
