VCT install soon

I think im going to be installing(garage floor;950sq. ft.) my vct in near future, and have a couple of questions. I live in central WI and have alot of snow dragged in garage by both vehicles and have heated floor(55-60 degrees)which creates alot of water. Was wondering if FlorCraft VCT adhesive will work(sold @ local menards store) or if I should buy some other brand of adhesive?
Also do I need to fill in my sawed control joints?

I can't say about your adhesive, but my understanding is that all VCT adhesive is water based. With that in mind, make sure your floor will be down at least a week before letting it get wet, and it would be a good idea to seal it too.

I get mine wet a lot, and it hasn't been an issue.

1/8 is what I used. The size was on the side of the glue container.

I put mine in while the temps were well into the 20s at night, and not much over freezing during the day. Didn't seem to hurt.

I left a 1500 watt oil filled electric heater on over night. No insulation in my garage.

About 14 months. It hasn't moved a bit, even though I work hard on it and have my sports car parked on it with stickey tires.

You would have much better success when it is warmer! The tiles should be climatized to the space. I always use Roberts 5038 adhesive with a 1/16 trowel, and install over half a million sqft a year. Never any problems in 10 years.Knock on wood lol.

I used armstrong S-515 on mine and per their instructions used this:

S-891 Notched Steel Trowel or S-892 Replaceable Blade trowel; fine notch (1/32˝ deep, 1/16˝ wide, 5/64˝ apart). It's a pretty tiny trowel which almost seemed too small, but I went with the recommendation nonetheless...
