VCT over Epoxy finish?

If I finish my entire garage floor and then decide to put VCT tile over it in an "office" area, am I screwing myself? Seems like I could just lay it over the top.

Thanks, I did a search but I didn't go deep enough. I think I'll coat the entire floor, then install the VCT in the foot traffic area yet to be determined.
