My garage slab (21x17) is in good shape except for some crumbly, spalling spots. These spots aren't very deep, just seeming to have loosened the concrete surface. I presume this is due to parking the PO's salt-dripping cars in the garage for many years. I plan to wire-brush the loose spots, level with portland-based compound, then glue and VCT.
Anyone have any comments about what prep I should use?
Last year, the home inspector suggested that I seal the floor in the garage. Don't know if that is necessary or advisable under the VCT.
