VCT Question regarding edge transition

This is a before pic prior to installing a self leveing / Cement Repair product.

I'm trying to figure out how to deal with this transition that goes up the foundation. The bump is hiding an oil line coming from the oil tank to the burner.

I was looking at the products Armstrong offers and I was going to use this.

Anyone know of a better way to deal with this

Maybe something like a rubber T molding and gluing it down.

Okay I broke down and purchased the material. Here is what I think I'm going to use.

Rubber base should work like you're showing with one change. You need to fill the gap under the base. It will flex and eventually crack without a backing material.

drill some 1/4'' holes every 6 inches on the rubber and spray insulation into them perhaps

Spray foam insulation won't work - too porous, holds water, and it's flexible. Plus who wants to look at a bunch of holes in a new trim piece?

I'd use a concrete patch material - not something self leveling. Another option would be to mix up a batch of mortar and shape it to fit your profile. Whatever you use, the stiffer the mix the better.

Will it work if I added the adhesive and pressed the wall base to form the shape of the gap?
