More like "no stick" tile.

Bought a house to refurb that had this installed throughout. A lot had already peeled up or broken. The rest didn't stick very well. This was a while ago however, maybe the adhesive is better now? I wouldn't use it personally but it's your call.

Ours is peeling in the kids bathroom, I would not put that in a working garage, maybe a "mancave" but F jacking a car up on sticky back vinyl...

If your going to use vinyl tile the only way to do it is use the glue down Armstrong VCT. I have installed a lot in the church where I work, best bet is take your time doing your layout, chalk line and use hairspray over the chalk line. Make sure everything is laid out well start gluing down do a section about 3x4 or so at a time, you have to let the glue dry almost to a clear color. Once it's like that I like to use Alternating pattern. I also have a 100lb flooring roller to get it really stuck down, we like to use a good quality floor wax usually we put on 3 coats with a swifter type applicator. We use the material for classrooms.

One thing. I do know , the self stick tile is half the thickness of the glue down stuff.
