Hi, I know this has probably been answered already but i have been away from the site awhile. I have a shop with black and white VCT tile and i have heard of people putting a polyurethane finish over the tile. I was wondering if there are any long term reports on the results of doing this and what is the proper procedure? My floor has been in for about a year and was polished once with VCT floor polish. Thanks for the help, Bob

I am installing my VCT this weekend. After doing my research it seems that Wolverine Coating is a trusted name in garage floorings/coatings. I emailed there respresentative who recommended Bondtite 1107 for VCT. He said to really make it nice a coat of their Endurashield could also be added. Unfortunately its nearly $400 for enough to cover 400 sq ft. I will only be doing the Bondtie, pending a drop in price or discount to garagejournal members.

From what I have read they also deal with commercial applications and seem to have true professional products.

Hope this helps

Ryan

I'd like to know too. I've put several coats on my VCT but it doesn't hold up too well really. Overall, for a garage it looks great, but I'm fairly hard on it and can see scratches and marring in places.
