I have a 24x36 garage that I'm (hopefully) nearing completion on soon. The garage is a project garage and is not intended to work as a daily parking garage. With this in mind, I prioritized the placement to preserve as much backyard as possible. It's situated on my property such that I turn into the garage as I am entering which means that my truck / car will be pivoting on the garage floor entering and exiting. Can VCT tiles handle that kind of abuse?

If you have an uneven spot in the floor or a crack from a high spot, will it cause major problems with VCT tile? I am looking for some kind of way to do something with 3000 sq ft of flooring in my shop but not sure if I should use porcelain, vct, race deck (doubt it because it would be well over $6000 I am sure), or just paint the entire thing with epoxy... I'd love to do the checkered tile but not sure anymore.

Uneven spots, bumps or anything else that causes the floor not to be completely flat will cause issues. I have several of these in my garage that I can easily pick out. Most people don't see them. It is a garage not a kitchen so these mares are not that big of a deal to me.

It also depends on if you anticipate movement in the cracks.

Small bumps are easily ground down, but larger imperfections will need to be addressed with nearly any kind of floor covering.
