I have a question... i just finished installing vct in my garage. where can i buy and what kind of transition can i use at the garage door opening? i didn't go to the very end of the garage floor because i thought it would look funny with vct sticking out from under my garage door. the vct stops about an inch away from where the garage door closes.

The other reason you don't want it to the edge is that VCT can be brittle on an exposed edge like at the garage door. Good thinking to hold it back.

Besides an aluminum threshold as AlphaGarage mentioned, I have seen others on GJ using 1/8" by 1" strips of aluminum. There is also a product designed for VCT edges, an 1/8" vinyl reducer/transition strip. Here is a sample from Johnsonite. Scroll down on the right to 'RRS'. This sample is 1-1/8" wide, but they can be stripped smaller if needed.

Good Luck with the project. Post Photos! ! !
