I was wondering if sweeping and washing is acceptable prep for laying VCT.i was also going to fill some small divots with quickpatch.

That's what I've heard....as long as the floor is level, thats about it. The VCT glue adhesive should be able to stick to most anything.

I notice that you are from Canada.Is the space heated? If not wouldnt you be worried about it cracking with any load on it in the winter?

At work we just finished installing 10,000 sf of VCT on a former warehouse now a climate controlled production lab. The installers ground the high spots, patched the cracks and divits, broom cleaned the floor, applied glue, the tiles, and then applied pressure via a roller.

I have a Hot Dawg installed...Will have no problems with lack of heat and cracks..........I like the crack in your picture...lol
