I need to update my thread. I've been really busy and haven't done much in the garage.

I now own 2 baby bullets which were both acquired within a month of each other. Great things come in pairs.
6b3c5e55307efc7042afe69f5d61f08b.jpg

I did start working on prepping this wilton for paint. Should be able to spray in soon.

Few other things are in the simple green tank and others are cleaned ready for paint.

Did a little work on getting my etank ready to derust some vises. Found some beam clamps and Home Depot which work out perfectly to make quick change mounts for the rebar anodes. Also decided to grab a second black bin to double up the walls of the tank. I want to make a wooden box on wheels for it so I can put it outside and it doesn't look ugly.

Also did a little cleaning and threw the wilton stand column on my anvil base while moving things around. I really like the wood/metal look and might have to build a similar stand for something else. I am planning to sell the wilton with stand once I paint it.

Finding the top of your bench is always great. You enjoy it for 5 mins and seems to find stuff on it when you turn your back. LOL. Those clamps are awesome. That's a great idea.

Bagged, what section of HD are those beam clamps in? That's a brilliant idea!

I also had to slightly notch out the top of the bin so the clamps would fit nicely.

Trying to declutter my shop. Did a little cleaning this weekend.

I like having everything movable or on wheels so I can move things as needed. For example I can easily turn my bandsaw 90 degrees to cut longer material.

Too many cobwebs. At least the spiders keep the other bugs in check. I've neglected my truck for too long, but I was able to mock up the locations for my Air tanks. They will go just below where you see them in the picture in between the frame rails. The set up in the Picture for the air tanks and compressors in the picture are from before I built the new chassis. I will build new mounts and will also be using viair compressors that I have.

Nice to see the truck getting some love. Keep on it. The sooner you can drive it out and move in a bunch of larger machines...

Ditto on the truck love.

Dang garden tools are a bear - all my shovels and such are out in the weather until I can build a garden shed after I get some honey do's sorted.

Cheers GB

Thanks fellas. I've Consolidated all my garden tools into a little under 3' x 8' section. Once I get those out I can store my welder, and belt sanders more comfortably. I finally sold off enough restored tools to pay for a shed. Now I just need to find time to build it. I'm hoping I can clean the rest of the garage tonight and then I'll post some better pictures.

Since I've been reorganizing my garage, I decided to finally mount my air hose reel inside the cabinet where the air compressor sits. Just need to get some hinges today. Now I just need to get my old Campbell Hausfeld compressor cleaned up and mounted to replace the loud oilless one I have now . Then I still have the reelcraft reel.

That will be super handy. I have mine mounted next to my work bench now although not hidden. But it is so handy to have it near a work bench and vise without having to drag hose across the shop. It will be nice and neat hidden behind that door when not in use.

Yeah I've had that hose reel in the cabinet but it wasn't mounted so it was a pain with it flopping around. Definitely way better now. I'm thinking of running one line across the shop and having a few drops at each of my workbenches. Then the only time I'll have to pull out the long hose is to use it in the driveway, work on my truck, plasma cutter, or to fill up tires. I do want to end up mounting the reelcraft in the cabinet once I get the Campbell pump running and make better room in the cabinet.

Found a nice piece of laminated beam I forgot I had. It was being used as a shelf that I got rid of. Perfect for the bottom of my anvil stand.

Garage is 75% clean. Also got some chemical guys waterless car wash and wax to clean up the truck.

Truck looks good shined up and it has that look, like its eager to drive out of the garage. I have no room to talk with all my unfinished projects around but, I hope you get time to get that baby on the road.

Veep, I was admiring the work on those stainless lines. I have yet to make bends that look that nice. I also noticed your investment in stainless compression fittings. I hope the new compressors can be plumbed without a do-over on the lines.

Thanks Bob. I believe I bought those fittings on eBay for a good price, and still have some extras. Gryolok and Swagelok are the brands. I won't be able to use the same ones because I have different compressors and I'll possibly be getting a new tank. Also the mounting locations won't be the same.

I got some work done over the weekend and tonight.
Hinges installed and had some Velcro so I just threw that on the drawer to keep it closed for now.
00e041a00a41d795c4e01a94ec7e8571.jpg
I also installed my air tool hanger on the left side of the cabinet.

My big Oliver patternmakers vise is there kind of in the way for now until it's sold.

Rearranged and organized my workbench where I had a computer screen. Took that out because it serves me no purpose anymore. Also got a killer deal on some storage bins at Costco so I was able to organize my current motor restorations and other projects. I also finally made a battery charging station. I even labeled the ends of the wires so when I unplug them, I know what each wire goes to. That used to drive me nuts.

I went to buy this half horsepower snap on Bluepoint grinder for $30. After talking for a bit, I found out he had a vise for sale and offered it to me for $20 so I took it. Nice, clean Parker 954.

Thanks. A clean garage is so nice to walk into and de-stress. I usually come home and walk thru the garage and just look at stuff for a few minutes to de-stress.

Yesterday I saw an ad for some vintage tools with an old pump, drill press, and craftsman bandsaw. This pump in the ad really caught my eye as I figured I could turn it into a stand or table.

I looked at what else the seller had and saw a couple iPhones for $50.

She told me $75 for the pump(tool thingy, lol) and $50 each for the phones. I said if she could unlock the phones I might be interested but I thought she was asking $50 for both. She said she would try to unlock them tomorrow.

So fast forward to this morning.
First thing in the morning I stop at one of our work locations and got find a free wheeled cabinet base they were throwing out. Made out of thick mdf and really nice locking casters. Pictures later in this post.

So after a long day of work, I messaged her that I'll be there in an hour. Then on the way, I see some stuff on the side of the road that said free. Looked like a few decent pieces of wood so I turned around and stopped. Ended up grabbing these two 2x12s about 16" long. One is a 8/4 thickness. Perfect for a vise or small table.

Then there was an old workbench with this vise. I unscrewed the vise. I just needs a new handle.

I wish I had room in my truck so I could have grabbed the workbench top.
Then the lady that was cleaning out asked me what else I might be interested in and came out with a cool old ruler. That was all she had left for tools.

Then onto get the myer pump. I pull up in a Hilti truck and she said wow, I haven't seen one of those since my dad worked there 20 years ago. Small world. The lady takes me to the huge barn, which also had a 3/4 court basketball court. Upstairs was the pump. Heavy as hell. So I grabbed the free cart I had to wheel it to the stairs to slowly lift it down each step.

While I'm grabbing the pump she asks if I wanted the drill press and bandsaw. She had no idea what they were. The drill press was a light duty champion and the bandsaw was the same craftsman bandsaw I already have so I said I didn't want to buy them. But I asked if I could just take the fence off the bandsaw and she said sure.

Then after I finally got to the truck she asked if I wanted one phone that she was able to unlock. I said sure but let me see if I brought enough cash. I said no because I didn't have $125 but only $105. She says that's fine and we make the deal.

it's an iPhone 5.

I think I had a good day. One of the pieces of wood I grabbed fits perfectly on top of the pump to make it into a table or plant stand.

This 140 pound pump would make a cool vise stand, but it's getting black paint and becoming a plant stand. Maybe in the winter it will make its way in the garage for use as a vise stand.

Built a firepit from the washer drum I took out of our old washing machine last year. Took apart our old little firepit and used the legs and ring. I just need to massage the top to the ring and weld it more. Then high heat BBQ grill paint should do it. Then a rock patio area to enjoy it.

Made a shelf to make a home for the jack stands. Actually found wood cut to the exact lengths so all I had to do was screw then together. I know the bungees won't really hold any of them from falling but it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Haha.

Paid $20 for these 3 items from a huge estate sale with a 2 barns full of tools. I stopped by yesterday and saw these. I wasn't in love with them so figured I would go this morning and try for a deal if they were still there. The broken 3.5" Parker and small incomplete Emmert patternmakers vises were gone, but I have no room , need, or want for broken vises.

Starts with this craftsman 4-3/8" jointer. No stand or motor. The seller says $20. I said "ehhhh I don't know." He immediately drops to $10 and I took it.

Then I asked about price on the bench grinder in the barn. He said bring it out. So I bring out this 6" black&decker junior bench grinder. I really just wanted the shields for my bluepoint grinder.

And I brought out this cart with nice steel wheels. The cart is just wood and cracked but the wheels spin so nicely. I can use these for one of my tool stands.

I say "how about $20 for these and the jointer?" He says " $20 for all that? ". I said "yeah." He says "ok take it."

Got a free lawnmower. Found it down the steet from my in-laws with a sign "free runs fine." Cleaned the dirtiest spark plug and dirtiest oil I've ever seen, and she fired right up. Sold it the same day.

Got some work done on my bluepoint grinder this week.

Put the outer covers in my simple green tank for a couple days. All the paint and grime just fell off. Quick wipe down with a rag and rinse later..

Dug out the set screws and had time to get one guard off.

This grinder has some serious inner flanges. Had to use a puller to get it off.

It's even keyed.

In It goes to the the simple Green tank.
