I've been working (slowly) on my garage for past few months; I figured I'd give you guys a view of what I've done so far.

^ Extra thick layer at the edge of the garage.

^ My biggest mistake. I got lazy, and thought the epoxy would just "fill in" the crack. Boy I was wrong.

^ Door repair time

^ Those are some serious wood screws to stiff up the door. Unfortunately the door was exposed to a lot of moisture in its life, causing the joints to loosen up (I think they're called mortise and tenon joints). It's also slightly warped... I really should replace it one of these days, but it should serve it's purpose for a bit longer.

^ Trying to straight the door out. It's bowed in the center; so I slightly wet the door and used 80lbs of cement to get it back into shape. It ended up being pretty close by the time I was done.

^ Patching hairline cracks in the walls. I've got what I think is plaster over some rock lath; absolutely no tape or reinforcement at the seams.

^ More repair work done with drywall. Ehh, close enough.

^ The door gets some good quality primer.

^ Natural gas pipe. I'm surprised it hasn't been run into yet.

^ Primer going up.

^ I still need to pick up some GFCI's for the garage... But the initial wiring is done.

^ Light going up!!!!

P1010697 by mightyvee, on Flickr

^ Not the best solution with the plug in option; but due to limited attic access, I could not run a wires directly to each light.

I'm almost done! I still have a lot more **** I need to move in, and clean up. But otherwise, progress is being made.

Wow, very well done. BIG congrats.

I don't think there's anything wrong with with switched plugs for the overhead lights but my OCD would make me have to shotern those cords and use some kind of plastic clips to hold them up to the ceiling.

If I can find it there's a thread on here how to make those open shelves into closed one relatively easily. The whole thing looks fantastic.
