Was going through the old posts and came across one that talks about keeping mold out of a vehicle over a winter season. Or if not mold musty smelling interiors.
I have been doing this for sometime.
I know it sounds hooky but I just put a big bag of kitty litter in the back seat and cut the top off. Works like a dissicant (spelling)

You can buy large bags of silica gel for not too much that will absorb moisture.

You can also get a car cocoon that will keep moisture out.

Winters here are cold enough that cars take care of themselves. Mold can't grow in the cold.

What happens is the temp cycles cause condensation, and mold loves moisture.

It will happen eventually everywhere

If it never gets above freezing there's not going to be any condensation.

I use the damp traps from my local DIY place, just a bag of dessicant crystals that absorb the water and dissolve into a container underneath. Since I've been using them I've had very little damp issues in my truck.
