This will be my first time hooking up a natural gas garage style heater and I have a few questions on how to vent it. This will be going in my mothers garage, she went to Home Depot and this is the stuff they gave her for venting it. They told her to hook the elbow to the back of the furnace then use the 36" pipe thru the wall.
We will be venting horizontally.
I am not sure how I attach the vent to the back of the heater, the elbow slides over the furnace vent just fine, but I'm assuming there has to be more to it than that, does it get high temp siliconed or screwed on? I think I am missing a piece but this is new to me, I would assume that there is some sort of adapter that mounts to the furnace then the elbow hooks to that.
I'm sure this is pretty simple to someone who has done this before. I am using Selkirk type b gas vent pipe from Home Depot. So if you know what I'm missing please send me a link so I can order it. I have a bunch of pictures I can upload too.
