I have a ventless heater model se2n/ase2n/rse2n serial 6n8 002176 I was wondering if you could switch from natural gas to propane

Made by, who's name is on it, and pictures of the heater, the data/info plates and decals will help with answers!
I represented a vent free heater manuf and can tell you definitively that no VF Htr can be converted by their listing. As well, given the critical nature of the ODS system, which is the primary safety system for VF, it is not worth trying.

I ran a ventless heater for a couple years in my last garage...never again. Mine was propane, and it DID smell after a while, and the humidity it put into the garage was terrible.

Vent free is good for temp heating only. I plan yo use a small electric to keep it above freezing and then the propane for when I'm out there.
