Versatrack/Husky Hooks on Gladiator Track

I was assembling several wall cabinets from Husky (Home Depot) yesterday and noticed they include a bracket for installation onto Husky SecureLock track. I didn't have any, but have several pieces of Gladiator Gear Track from the 2-for-$10 sale that Lowe's had a while back. To my surprise, the brackets fit onto the Gladiator track. The Versatrack/Husky center track must be about 1/32-1/16" narrower since I had to pick the cabinets up very slightly for them to swing down into place. Once locked in though, they are very secure.

I was back at Home Depot tonight picking up some more cabinets and decided to buy one of their hooks to test. It works too! Like the cabinets, you have to very slightly push them up to swing down into the bottom groove. Once that is done though, the rotating lock mechanism locks the hook into place very securely. This is a big find for me since the local Lowe's do not do a very good job of stocking Gladiator hooks. Home Depot has tons of the Husky hooks and they are about 1/2 the price of the equivalent Gladiator hooks

Have any pics of the cabinets installed? I'm designing my set up at the moment and looking for all the ideas I can get. Thanks!

Check the last few pics in the gallery build link in my signature. I went back today to Sam's and bought another of the Seville benches and then to Home Depot for another drawer base cabinet. No pics of those add-ons yet though. I need one more of each of the 32" and 48" lockers and I'll be done. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow of all the cabinets and a close-up of the Husky hook on the Gladiator track.

Hey I checked out your pics on your garage build. Nice Husky cabinets. I was in the middle of outfitting my garage with Gladiator cabinets when I found out the HD started to sell this lineup.

What sold me on the Gladiator cabinets is the fact that you can hang them on the track, but if I knew a little before hand I would seriously think about getting the Husky line - I think they look sharp! :)

Here are some pics of the Husky hooks on Gladiator track.

If you look really closely, you can see the slight gap at the top. Once you rotate the locking mechanism though, there is no way they are coming off.

The build in my sig is updated with some more recent cabinet shots now too.

Any problems using the Husky/Craftsman hooks with the Gladiator Geartrack, now that you've been using them a while?

I just installed a bunch of Geartrack (buy-one get-one at Sears yesterday) and haven't bought any hooks yet.

No problems. They seem to work fine as far as I can tell.
I bought a couple of the Craftsman hooks and a couple of the Husky. They both fit but I just about needed a pair of needle nose to turn the latch on the Crafstman hooks. With the Husky hooks, I can turn them with my fingers.

Any idea is the Husky hooks are ever on sale?

I suppose the Craftsman hooks go on sale. Any particular good deals to keep an eye out for?

BUMPing an old thread:

I've been using the Husky "SecureLock" attachments on my Gladiator Geartrack. I just stopped into HD and nearly all of the SecureLock stuff was gone. I guess it's been discontinued. I wish I'd known about this as I would have horded a bunch while I had the chance.

This has probably been mentioned already on the forum, but I was unaware.
