Vertical concrete stamping material. What do you use?

Hello everyone,
I have gotten good advice here before so I thought I would try again. I am going to be building a cinder block (cmu) wall and 2 pillars. I want to try doing some vertical concrete stamping. I would like to experiment a bit and see if I like the results. What product (s) are you using for the concrete material? Please recommend something that is easy to obtain versus something I have to have shipped.

Thanks,

I've stamped simple Portland-based back-plaster in the past, but my learning curve & experience is likely different than yours. I would look into Butterfield Color for one of their stampable overlays, as I'm sure they can be done vertically (I actually used their material to do one today). I have no idea if it's available local to you, as you've conveniently excluded "where" you are................

Thanls for the reply. Sorry, thought it was in my description. I am from Sacramento. I am looking for a specific product that would work, not just a general type. I have read a bunch on the internet and they describe general products, but I am at the point that i want to just try one and see what i think. Do they have a product at home depot or lowes that would work for me to try? Do you have a link to it so i could see exactly what to buy.

Again, thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

So, you are going to try to stamp concrete over CMU?

What final look are you going for?

Have you considered cast in place mud in board formed forms?
