Afternoon. I've been looking for a bracket or hanger like this to hang my blower vertical:

Bought one on Amazon that I thought MIGHT work, but sadly they are not universal. Anybody have a good solution that hangs their blower vertical with the handle out and doesn't involve me buying $50 worth of steel plate to fab my own?

Mine hangs on a cotton rope from the ceiling joist with a hook i fashioned from some round rod.

I could see getting one of those long red hooks with the lag screw and screw it in the wall and bend the rod part 90° so its parallel to the wall. If it has a nub or turned up end on it just cut it off.
Then you could use the hollow part of the blower leg and just slide it on.
Probably could do it for a couple bucks.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Running a cheap Craftsman blower, as opposed to the Stihl these mostly seem to be designed for. I was in the garage yesterday looking hard for a way to make the "big nail" idea work without the blower turning sideways and sliding off. Will have to take another look at it.

I have our cordless blower drop vertically in two hoops mounted to the wall, one is from a 3 or 4" U-Bolt (Bottom) and the other is a piece taken from a 1970s Golf bag cart. (upper larger diameter) I'll take a picture when I get home. Just lift it straight out to use.

You could get a short piece of light rope or cord, loop it through the handle and tie it off to create a lanyard. Then it could easily be hung from a nail.

alternatively, try a piece of heavy soft iron wire (like 1/8" diameter), bend into an "S", then twist it so the hooks are 90 degrees offset from each other.
that's what I use to hang a gallon paint can from a ladder rung when painting. you will need some stout wire.
the problem I had hanging my gas powered Stihl line trimmer was that it didn't seem to matter which way it was pointed, the damn thing dripped fuel all over the floor unless I emptied the tank before hanging it up.

YMMV

Not exactly what you are looking for but I hang my backpack blower from the top handle on a bicycle hook.

We have plywood on our walls and use one of these to hang the blower and weedeater. Just get one that's wide enough for the body of the blower but will still "grab" the legs.
