I had a 54x83 building built and I am putting in floor geothermal heat in it. One thing stressed to me was to have vertical insulation under the floor. They recommended using pink board.

1. how deep in the ground does the insulation need to go? (Illinois)
2. My building was constructed above ground and i need to fill up against where the pink board will be attached, is there anything I can put against the posts before attaching the pink board to protect it from pushing dirt against it with a dozer. A guy in passing recommended using a thin fiberglass sheeting but I didnt catch the name of said product.
